Maniakalani trip
On Wednesday we had Manaiakalani Film Festival. It was held in the Sylvia Park Hoyts Cinemas. We left school at 11:45. On the way to the cinema we were having a singing competition, boys vs girls. We sang and sang then NEK MINNIT we were. at Hoyts cinema.
We all went in to the Xtreme screen cinema and boy was it packed. We got to sit in the chairs that were way at thee back they had lights and remote control leg rests. Rowana and Kyan presented our class movie to the audience. It was called, Who pushed Humpty Dumpty? I was acting in the movie. I played Vinson Voice, Jalen was Inspector Cluedo and Juliet was Samantha Snoop.

We were all sad that it was finished but at least we had a good time and got to watch a lot of movies made by students from Pt England and other schools. It was a mission getting back to the bus but we did it. I felt good that we watched our movies on the big screen.

ReplyDeleteGreat recount about the special event. I have been to some of the earlier movie presentations that were for the Manaiakalani Cluster but this was back in the old days when we used to use Tamaki College as the venue. I would think that Hoyts Cinemas would have been an amazing venue and would have been thrilled and excited to see yourself up on the big screen. I am just about to watch your class entry so I will pay close attention to your starring role.
